If there’s one thing I’ve always enjoyed, it’s watching 2D and 3D animated films. They had grasped my attention ever since I was young, and Walt Disney movies were the ones that I would watch on repeat. As I grew older, I developed a curiosity for the visual arts, and so I took to creating my own fictional worlds and characters.

After graduating high school, I took this further and went on to study at Tafe Queensland where I enrolled into the Certificate III in Visual Arts, and six months later, I went into the Diploma of Visual Arts where I deepened my knowledge even further. Upon graduating, I wanted to continue on with studying, though instead of going into the Bachelor of Visual Arts, I went in a slightly different direction and enrolled at the Queensland University of Technology. This is where I went into the Bachelor of Fine Arts Animation and started to develop an understanding of how animation plays an important part in filmmaking, TV production, advertising and marketing. As I expanded my knowledge on the history of animation and the principles of real-time 3D computer graphics, I explored aspects of the CGI pipeline to find my strengths and weaknesses.
